Overview of the issue

The TRCP is strongly committed to working with its partners and with lawmakers to identify legislative solutions to climate change, the impacts of which hunters and anglers are now experiencing afield and on the water each and every season.

We were among the sportsmen’s groups who originally embraced this difficult work more than a decade ago and contributed to the publication of two groundbreaking reports, “Seasons’ End” and “Beyond Seasons’ End,” which highlight the real challenges our fish and wildlife face as the climate changes. Now, the TRCP is leading a coalition of 41 hunting, fishing, outdoor recreation, and conservation groups aligned to advance climate solutions for land, water, fish, and wildlife.

Here is the coalition’s joint climate statement with seven priority areas of focus that we stand by and continue to share with lawmakers.
