Trade UnionsBuilding upon its relationship with 19 trade unions and the AFL-CIO, representing more than 3 million union members who hunt and fish, the TRCP launched the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA), a union-sponsored hunting and fishing association for union members, retirees and their families. The goal of the USA is to recruit and actively engage union sportsmen and women in the ongoing fight to create a better future for hunting and fishing while creating their own community to extend union member benefits beyond the workplace to the woods and water. TRCP’s relationship with these unions began in 2005 as the unions were seeking ways to become more involved in their members’ interests outside the workplace and the TRCP was looking for ways to reach out to unaffiliated hunters and anglers. The TRCP, through its affiliation with the unions, provided conservation, hunting and fishing information to union members through their union journal, other publications and websites, while the unions themselves encouraged their members to join the TRCP. As a result, the TRCP has recruited thousands of new partners, adding union strength to its conservation initiatives. This strong hunting, fishing and conservation interest among union members led to the establishment of the USA in July 2007. Listed below are TRCP's affiliated unions with links to their websites.
