Steve Kline, Director of Government Relations, joined the Partnership in April of 2011. Steve has spent his entire professional career in Washington, D.C. developing and implementing successful policy advocacy strategies for a variety of conservation organizations including the Alaska Wilderness League, National Association of State Foresters, Izaak Walton League of America, and Ducks Unlimited.
Steve has also advised political candidates at the national, state, and local level, and served as an elected delegate to the 2008 Republican National Convention. Steve has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and a Master’s degree in Government from The Johns Hopkins University.
Steve is a seventh generation Marylander, who along with his wife Kim and their kids Alexander and Emily make their home on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. An avid waterfowl hunter and angler, Steve surprises even himself with his uncanny ability to miss clay pigeons.
