Edward Tamson joined TRCP in June 2016 as the Florida Field Representative.
Ed has been environmental advocate since his first backpacking trips into the California High Sierras more than 4 decades ago. He is an active outdoorsman and passionate fly fisherman who enjoys fishing throughout the United States, Canada and the Bahamas. He also competes in the ACA Fly Casting National Tournaments with modest success. Ed is also an active member and certified fly casting instructor with the International Federation of Fly Fishers and a Licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain. He earned his doctorate from the University of California.
Ed recently retired from the corporate consulting world as a Fortune 500 organizational psychologist specializing in qualitative and quantitative research, education and training, organizational development and team effectiveness. Ed is now focusing his efforts on a diversity of environmental activities in Florida working with the State of Florida, Florida Fish & Game, Local Communities, The Everglades Foundation, Audubon, Eco-Voice and Snook Foundation.
Ed is a strong supporter and advocate for protecting our natural resources: the Gulf Coast, Restoring the Greater Everglades, Lake Okeechobee, the Caloosahatchee Basin and the Florida Fishery and Hunting Habitat. He brings a wealth of professional and personal experience centered on conservation policy, program development, public presentations, education & training, fundraising and a love of the outdoors. He resides in Naples, Florida with his wife and daughter.
