TRCP President and CEO George Cooper to appear at Colorado College on Monday, April 6, from 7 to 9 p.m.
WASHINGTON – George Cooper, president and CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, will take part in an April 6 discussion on the role of the “radical center” in the 2009 State of the Rockies Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The panel discussion, “A Future Rockies through Compromise and Consensus,” also will feature Dr. Mark Shaffer, director of the environmental program of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. It will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Armstrong Hall on the Colorado College campus.
Now in its sixth year, the State of the Rockies Project seeks to increase public understanding of vital issues affecting the Rocky Mountains. Over three days in April, speakers representing diverse interests in the Rockies will share their vision for this unique region and explain what their organizations are doing to shape its future. This year’s State of the Rockies Symposium runs from April 5-7. All events are free and open to the public.
