Wetlands, Waterfowl and NAWCA
More than $1 billion in federal grants has been allocated for NAWCA projects
An additional $3 billion has been leveraged from matching and non-matching funds
NAWCA is continually subject to the authorization and funding cycles in Congress, leaving it vulnerable to cuts and reductions
In fiscal year 2012, funding for the program stood at $35.5 million (down 26 percent in just two years)
Sportsmen must remain vigilant in asking Congress to fund NAWCA at the highest level possible. Contact your Representative or Senatorsand ask them to support full funding of NAWCA.
