Charles S. Potter Jr. Biography

Charlie is the President and CEO of the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation, a leader in natural resource research and education with a special emphasis in the fields of wildlife and fisheries management. He is host of the Great Outdoors Show, on WGN radio in Chicago, President of Potter Properties (an agriculture real estate investment company, specializing in managing agro/recreation properties) and Chairman and Founder of Great Outdoors, L.L.C., a leading producer of consumer sports shows.

Charlie graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and a minor in history.  Previously he has served as Executive Vice President of the Delta Waterfowl Foundation, Vice President of Prairie Holdings Corp. (an open space preservation company) and on many other boards.  He is the author of Following the Flight.

Charlie's passions include hunting, fishing, travel, writing and photography. Charlie and his wife Julia live with their three children, Alexandra, Charlie and Prescott, in Illinois.
